SUMMER/FALL CO-OP IN OPTICAL ENGINEERING | DANBURY MISSION TECHNOLOGIES

You will benefit from working side by side with a talented and experienced group of professionals eager to mentor. Day to day activities can involve significant interaction with various functional groups such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering and Manufacturing, allowing for additional broad learning opportunities. Position will begin in May 2021 and run through December 2021. (This is not a summer internship)
As an Optical Engineering Co-op, you will be supporting the design, manufacturing and test of optical systems such as mirrors, lenses and telescopes. Task will include:
- Test
- Planning & Execution
- Data Analysis
- Optical Assemblies
A stipend and/or housing allowance is offered to those who meet the eligibility requirements. Students are responsible for securing their own housing if needed.
Experience/Preferred Skills/Competencies:
- Ability to work in a lab
- Exposure to courses in Optical Engineering helpful
Education:
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Optical Engineering, physics, or astronomy from an accredited institution
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 college credits
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
