Part Time Job

Scanner Max is currently looking to fulfill two full time (minimum 30 hours a week) positions in their assembly line. The positions involve the mechanical assembly of small galvanometers used in optical scanning systems. Basic knowledge of electric motors, series/parallel circuits and soldering are a plus and ideal candidates are sophomore students. Start pay is $10.00/hr plus benefits and we offer flexibility of schedule for school.

FABRICATION MANAGER

·         Responsible for all Fabrication initiatives, including: production, engineering, process control, process development, tooling design, cost reduction, and quality improvement 
·         Manage all department manufacturing operations within two fabrication departments

ELECTRO-OPTICAL/MEASUREMENTS ENGINEER

  • Develop new metrology techniques
  • Develop fabrication processes for new products; Make improvements to processes for existing products
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the cutting, shaping, grinding, and polishing processes for current all new materials
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the current metrology techniques at SYNOPTICS as well as creating new measurement techniques (customer required or for in-house characterization)

Requirements:

PROGRAMMER ANALYST

·         Strong TSQL coding skills are a must
·         Must have experience integrating new applications, and existing application enhancements, into an overall system framework to ensure scalability and extensibility

Preferences:

MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEER

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

·         Perform troubleshooting and repairs of fabrication machinery and equipment controls
·         Service and repair precision machinery including PLC or DCS controlled devices
·         Work independently or with fellow technicians to identify root cause events and areas for improvement

·         Conduct routine or special inspections to determine maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns of facility equipment and discrete machinery

Requirements: 
·         Candidate must be able to work the following schedule: Thursday through Sunday: 4:15pm - 2:45am (Four 10-hour days)
·         High school diploma plus a minimum of eight years of direct experience in a manufacturing environment is required; or a two-year technical degree with a minimum of three years of experience is preferred
·         Possess basic electrical skills including motor control, electrical distribution, and machinery installation
·         Possess basic mechanical skills repairing and maintaining manufacturing machinery and equipment
·         Ability to use a ladder, work in elevated work areas, and frequently lift up to 45 pounds
·         Experience in servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment is a plus
