IT Intern (Student position)

The intern will assist with IT service solutions, database and desktop support to employees of the
company. This includes PC support and maintenance, server support and maintenance, LAN support,
Internet support, and software support.

Description

• Maintain a high level of security on all company computers.
• Troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems
• Assist staff with equipment concerns
• Handling PC hardware issues and printer issues
• Setting up and maintaining user desktop environments
• Provide support for general Internet and email needs
• Diagnose and fix network problems
• Setting up peripherals, maintaining inventories and organizing IT parts and equipment

Requirements

• Actively enrolled Sophomore or Junior level student with at least 1.5 years of completed college
• education
• Minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Self‐starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent PC troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of Microsoft Products, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Basic SQL skills and familiarity with Microsoft Access
• 1‐2 year experience performing IT support functions is preferred
• Attention to detail, systems processes and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be available to work 20 hours per week for at least 9‐12 months
