AIM Photonics Academy is the educational initiative of the AIM Photonics Institute, an United States Advanced Institute for Manufacturing. Companies will offer travel expenses, as well as a stipend and a clearly defined work project for the interns. The duration and start and end dates may vary depending upon the project and company.

Please note
that currently only community college, undergraduate and graduate students who
are U.S. citizens are eligible to apply for the 2018 AIM Academy Internship
Matching Program. Students must have at least a 3.4/4.0 or 4.25/5.0 average in
an accredited college program to apply. Below is the list of the skills and
education levels that are most in demand for 2018 industry interns in
integrated photonics manufacturing field.
- Silicon photonics design and
testing – graduate and undergraduate students
- Data science, sensors –
graduate students
- Photonics, optics, packaging –
all levels
- Robotic assembly, fiber optics
– graduate and undergraduate students
